Panel Discussion and Tour | Union Green, West Allis
Galbraith Carnahan Architects (GCA) will host a panel discussion and site tour exploring Missing Middle housing in action at Union Green, a new infill development in West Allis, Wisconsin.
Union Green transforms a long-blighted site and underutilized park into a compact, walkable urban place. The project includes eight townhome units alongside a walk-up mixed-use apartment building, demonstrating how modest-scale density can support neighborhood vitality, housing choice, and long-term community value.
The event will begin with a panel conversation featuring architects, developers, and City of West Allis planning and development staff, followed by a guided tour of the project. The panel will focus on the design, development, and planning process behind Union Green, highlighting the challenges, tradeoffs, and opportunities involved in delivering Missing Middle housing within a real municipal context.
