Size: 2500 sq. ft.
GCA worked closely with a Brookfield developer to attract a small community bank to a highly visible corner site with an outdated office building on it. Rather than completely demolish the existing structure, GCA was able to design a new modern facade and roof, while retaining the existing foundations and utilities. This smart approach allowed the project to proceed on a faster timeline, and lower overall cost. And while sustainable practices were not a focus of the project, GCA believes that the re-use of existing building materials is always more sustainable than the use of new materials, even those that are considered sustainable, due to the energy savings from production and shipping of the materials.
