GCA acted as architect and co-developer on this redevelopment project in the Village of Grafton, Wisconsin. The project involves the construction of 18 townhome units within three buildings located at a “village gateway” site that links the communities of Grafton and Cedarburg. A long abandoned and blighted restaurant was torn down for the project.
The design takes inspiration from craftsman-style bungalows, incorporating a fieldstone base and crafted wood details that give the buildings a high-quality residential feel. We worked extensively with the village to incorporate pedestrian-friendly features that support the village master plan and uplift the area’s design quality.
