Luxury Townhomes

Milwaukee Journal Sentinel: Luxury Townhomes Coming To Wauwatosa

A local developer wants to build luxury townhomes in the Village in Wauwatosa

Wauwatosa firm Galbraith Carnahan Architects wants to build four 3,000-square-foot luxury townhome condominiums in the city’s village, which, the company said, are already drawing buyers’ attention.

The units are proposed for city-owned vacant lot 7746 Menomonee River Parkway. The office building that once occupied the parcel was demolished during the nearby Harmonee Square apartments’ construction process, and now the city is searching for compatible redevelopment plans.

The three-bedroom, three-and-a-half bath townhomes would each include a home office, two-car garage and rooftop deck, according to the proposal, and would cost $750,000 to $950,000. Buyers can choose to add an elevator and their own interior design finishes, site plans say, leading some units to sell for more than $1,000,000.

GCA presented the proposal for the first time to Wauwatosa’s Community Development Authority on Feb. 2, and city officials said the development would help meet the demand for condos, which are lacking in the city.
